Kensington Place in Brighton

Rear and side extension to a typical Brighton conservation area property

The owners of the property had a kitchen and dining space internally that was inherited not only as dilapidated, but also in need to of some thought as to how better lighten up the space and create an area that was wished to be used as the focal point of the house.

The extension while small in size gives a great example of how a simple well designed and considered approach to the layout can completely change what is a traditional North Laine property into much more. The finishes are clean, the layout is effective and it is a space that now better serves the 4 storey property for use by a family. Sometimes the simple ideas are the most effective!
